UPDATE – 8am 23rd March: Gardaí have confirmed that the missing person has been found safe and well.
A major search has been taking place this evening for a missing person in East Donegal.
Gardaí are leading the operation in the Stranorlar area of Donegal.
Volunteers from Donegal Mountain Rescue are assisting with the coordinated search, which began at around 3.30pm.
No further details are known at this time.
