There are five clusters of people with Covid-19 in the north west region, according to the latest figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
The five groups have been identified in various settings, with one cluster in a private house, two travel-related groups and two clusters stemming from extended family.
The latest data from midnight on 28th March shows that there are 111 clusters reported in Ireland.
The majority of clusters and outbreaks are associated with private homes, nursing homes, hospitals or travel.
With over 20% of clusters relating to nursing homes, the Department of Health is moving to stem the spread with a number of new measures this week. The National Public Health Emergency Team is meeting today to consider specific measures and supports for nursing homes and long-term residential institutions.
Thirty-six individual cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Donegal so far.
