Several local hospital workers have received a welcome surprise after their shifts amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Gift bags were found on a number of cars outside Letterkenny University Hospital this week as a ‘thank you’ to staff who are caring for loved ones during the crisis.
The gifts were accompanied by a card from ‘Lisa’.
Veena Syam, a staff nurse at LUH, said her gift pack was a lovely surprise. She received a pamper set and a card which said: “Thank you for your care and compassion, even when you are in no doubt anxious and tired as well. Because of you people will get a second chance at like so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.”
“Thank you so much Lisa, it really means a lot to us,” Ms Syam said.
