A GLENSWILLY under-14 player set a stunning new record in the club’s latest skills challenge.

Clubs have been setting various challenges and tasks for players to keep them active during the Covid-19 shutdown.

In Glenswilly, underage coach Lee Gildea this week set the players a new challenge. Using two footballers, players had to alternate between left foot to left hand kicks and right foot to right hand kicks.

The added catch was doing as many as possible inside 30 seconds.

Glenswilly under-14 player Conor Kelly, from Glenkerragh, managed a dizzying total of 80.

Yes, eighty!

Well done, Conor.

Michael Murphy Sports and Leisure sponsored five footballs for the winner – and we’re sure the shop’s proprietor will be mightily impressed by the feat too!
