THE Public Health Agency has confirmed that eight more people have died in Northern Ireland after contracting Covid-19.
A further 94 new cases have been confirmed in Northern Ireland.
As of 9.50am today, there were 998 confirmed cases with 56 deaths in the region. In Northern Ireland, a total of 8,034 people have been tested for the virus.
On the island of Ireland, there have now been 5,271 confirmed cases and 176 deaths since the outbreak.
A death associated with Covid-19 is someone who dies within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
