A garda probe is underway after two cars were vandalised in a residential area of Letterkenny last weekend.

The tyres of two cars were slashed outside homes in the Long Lane area of the town between Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

One incident occurred at Manor View Park, where a car had the rear driver’s side tyre slashed and the rear driver’s door was scraped.

In the same period, a car that was parked at the owners home at Hazelbrook Crescent, Letterkenny had the driver’s side tyre slashed.

Gardaí believe both acts of criminal damage are linked and have appealed to the public to offer any helpful information by calling Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
