STAFF at Letterkenny University Hospital got an Easter surprise last night thanks to two generous local women.

Breid Connor and Siobhan Duffy came up with the idea of putting together gift bags for hard-working front-line staff at LUH.

Both are well-known around Letterkenny, Breid from her work at Harte Insurance and Siobhan as a baker in Mac’s Deli.

Breid and Siobhan packed an amazing 60 gift bags and had them delivered to LUH last night via a member of staff.

A variety of doctors, nurses, domestic staff, receptionists and porters were smiling as they clocked off another hard shift, grateful for the generous gesture.

This heartfelt sign of thanks was made possible by sponsorship from Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, the Silver Tassie Hotel, Magees Chemist and Mac’s Deli.

The bags contain items such as hand cream and face wipes, lotions, chocolate treats, coffee. Each bag was topped off, of course, with an easter egg.
