Donegal lit up last night at 9pm for the special #ShineYourLight event to unite people as they stay apart.

The #ShineYourLight campaign called on people of all ages to simply light up in honour of all coronavirus victims and frontline workers.

Across the county, candles flickered, Christmas lights were switched on again, flash laps shone and mobile phone torches beamed.

Donegal embraced the campaign and make great efforts to share this gesture of solidarity and hope.
