Almost a quarter of all coronavirus cases in the north west are healthcare staff, according to the latest data from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
The number of Covid-19 cases among healthcare staff in the region has doubled in the past week, reaching a total of 72.
This represents 24% of the 302 total cases in the north west are of Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim.
Two more virus clusters have also been identified in the NW region. There are now three known clusters in nursing homes, two in community hospitals/long-stay units, one in a hospital and five in private homes. Two more clusters are travel related and two are linked with extended family.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Donegal reached 225 in the latest Department of Health update yesterday. There are now 10,647 confirmed cases across Ireland, and 365 patients have sadly died as a result of the virus.
