A further 24 Covid-19 cases confirmed in Donegal

THERE have been an additional 24 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Donegal.

The increase of just over 8 per cent from yesterday brings the county’s total number to 320.

A further 43 deaths were confirmed by Dr Tony Holohan, the Chief Medical Officer, this evening – the highest number in a single day.

Of today’s deaths 34 were in the east, four were in the west and five in the south.

There are now 13,271 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland with 724 new cases announced.

The chair of the NPHET Epidemiological Modelling Advisory Group, Professor Philip Nolan said hospitalisations are growing slightly at this stage.
