Donegal Daily is celebrating a month of poetry with the #WeAreThePoetsDonegal series, in association with Poetry Ireland.

Throughout April, we will share daily poetry by established writers from across the county.

This series invites you to take a moment to read, enjoy or share poetry in the lead up to Poetry Day Ireland on Thursday 30 April 2020.

Today’s featured poet is Imelda Maguire

About the poet:

Imelda Maguire has published two poetry collections:  Shout If You Want Me To Sing (Summer Palace Press, 2004) and Serendipity (Revival Press, 2015).  Originally from Limerick, she has lived in Donegal since 1995 and facilitates workshops in Creative Writing with young people and adults. A retired counsellor, she also works with poetry for well-being and therapeutic purposes.
