THE communities in Moville and Greencastle came out in a show of support last night as the remains of much-loved Eileen Farren were brought home.

The retired secondary school teacher, the wife of Donegal County Councillor Martin Farren, passed away early on Thursday.

Groups from local community and sports clubs formed physical-distancing guards of honour last night as Eileen was brought to her home at Greencastle Road, Moville.

A measure of the standing Eileen – a native of county Roscommon – held in Inishowen was shown by the presence of people along the route from Muff to Moville.

Private wake and funeral service will take place for immediate family in compliance with Government and HSE guidelines.

Eileen is survived by her husband Martin, daughter Louise, sons Evan and Conor, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Noirin, grandchildren and a wide circle of family and friends.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the Foyle Hospice, Culmore Road, Derry, Northern Ireland BT48 8JE or the Donegal Hospice, Letterkenny
