A BELGIAN family left stranded in Donegal have been relocated to a private site until such times as travel restrictions are eased.

The family, on a six-month tour of Ireland from Belgium, arrived in Killybegs on Tuesday night.

Concerns were raised about the presence of their camper van in the carpark at Fintra beach.

The family have been unable to rent a property or locate an Airbnb due to the Covid-19 restrictions that are in place.

They were said to be unaware that the current restrictions meant that they were unable to park at the Fintra carpark,

With the aid of some locals, however, the family have been allowed to relocated their camper van to a private site in the area.
