Speeding motorist caught doing 157km/h in Letterkenny

Gardaí have issued a public warning over speeding today after a number of detections in the Letterkenny area.

“The journey purpose may be essential but breaking the speed limit is certainly not,” said a spokesperson after vehicles were detected at excessive speeds.

One motorist was clocked doing 157km/h while another was travelling at 122km/h.

Gardaí took to Facebook to say: “Please do not speed. Your essential journey could come to an abrupt and tragic end if you do. Speed kills.”
