GARDAÍ in Ballybofey last night arrested a drunk-driver, who turned away from a checkpoint.
Gardaí from the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were conducting a Covid-19 checkpoint.
Officers observed a car turn away from the checkpoint.
Gardaí stopped the car and the driver failed the roadside breath test. The motorist was arrested and court proceedings will follow.
