Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) will be hosting a Facebook Live Q&A this Friday evening to offer students advice and support on college options in 2020.

LYIT Schools Engagement Officer, Fiona Kelly will be live on LYIT’s Facebook page from 7-7.30pm Friday 24 April, 2020.

If you are a Leaving Certificate student, a parent of a Leaving Certificate student, a Mature student contemplating a return to education, or a Post Leaving Certificate (PLC) student thinking about progression options at LYIT, be sure to tune in.

Since the Covid-19 crisis began, LYIT has received many enquiries from students planning to attend college in 2020, enquiries have included questions about the CAO application process, questions from students seeking information on scholarships and funding, and queries from students regarding upcoming events and Open Days at LYIT.

Fiona Kelly, LYIT Schools Engagement Officer, commented “The last few weeks have been a particularly challenging time for the Class of 2020. The Facebook Live Q&A provides prospective students with a chance to ask for advice, information, and support. This online event is open to all students’, even those students that have not listed LYIT in their CAO options.

“We have received lots of queries and questions from students over the last few weeks and we wanted to address these questions on a broader platform. We are also running Virtual Open Days at LYIT from Monday 18 to Friday 22 May and all of these events have been developed to support prospective students during this challenging time.”

Fiona further added, “If you have questions about LYIT, questions about the CAO process in the months ahead, or questions about scholarships and funding available at LYIT, be sure to send in your queries ahead of the Facebook Live Q&A, direct to Fiona on schoolsliaison@lyit.ie”
