Covid 19: 701 new cases as 26 more deaths recorded

THERE have been a further 26 deaths from Covid-19 recorded in the Republic of Ireland.

There have now been 1,087 Covid-19 related deaths since the outbreak with two deaths having been denotified.

A further 701 confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by health officials.

This brings to 19,262 the number of positive cases in Ireland.

There are 446 confirmed cases in Co. Donegal, according to the latest report from the HSE as of 23rd April.

The number of cases among healthcare workers has exceeded 5,000 (5,064).
