Guidelines for applications under the MICA redress scheme will be ready shortly.
County councillor Albert Doherty has received a reply from the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government on the matter.
The Sinn Fein councillor is querying the timeline of the release of details of the scheme.
A spokesperson for the Department said “The Defective Concrete Blocks Grant Scheme is in the final stages of completion.
“As such, the guidelines will be available to Donegal County Council very soon.
“We are keeping Donegal County Council up to date on our progress in this regard.”
The redress scheme is a Government fund announced for householders whose homes have been affected by the use of faulty blocks during construction.
Hundreds of homes across Donegal are suspected to be suffering as a result of the defective blocks.
