Gallery: Donegal beauty spots as seen from the sky during lockdown

THE Garda Air Support Unit pictured Donegal in all its beauty yesterday.

The GASU was based at Donegal Airport – which is providing cover for vital air services during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Gardaí in the air flew over Donegal yesterday for a bird’s eye view of Operation Fanacht.

Some of Donegal’s most famous landmarks were captured and shared by the Gardaí on social media.

“Usually at this time of year the beauty spots pictured would be very busy with visitors and it is a sad sight to see all these areas look so deserted,” Gardai said.

We hope that very soon life will get back to some kind of normality!

“This will only happen if we continue to stay at home, stay safe and continue to practice social distancing.”
