A Donegal nurse whose wedding was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic was stunned when her colleagues threw a mini-celebration outside her home.
Bridget Molloy from Glenties was due to marry her partner Nigel Mc Hugh on Saturday, but their wedding plans have been put back to next year.
Bridget is a popular learning disabilities nurse at Piermont House in Dungloe. Instead of the grand party which was planned for this weekend, she was treated to a surprise from her colleagues who marked the occasion with a short socially-distant visit.
Staff ensured Bridget and Nigel’s alternative wedding celebrations got off to a great start with champagne, balloons, flowers and pamper presents. They even decorated their cars for the occasion.
The big day might not be happening for a while, but Bridget and Nigel’s friends were determined to get the party started well in advance!
