Pupils at Lurgybrack NS have launched a new video as they keep their creative spirit strong during the Covid-19 closure.
The latest production from the school is a ‘Lockdown Breakdown’ poem, sharing a child’s view on life and homeschooling.
The poem, recited by Shaun Gallagher, 3rd Class and Kieran Carolan, 6th Class, explores the many lessons that children have learned outside school:
But now that I’ve had all my dreams come true, when I wish for no school days how little I knew.
All artwork featured in the video was created by pupils during their time at home.
The poem is dedicated to all the students’ family members who are working tirelessly on the frontline in Letterkenny University Hospital, Donegal Hospice and care homes in the community, as well as all home-school teachers and parents.
