THE Department of Health has been informed of another 12 Covid-19 related deaths.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, 1,458 people have died after contracting Covid-19.
Health officials have confirmed that there have been 236 new cases.
Today’s figure bring the total number of confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland to 22,996.
