A Donegal national school has welcomed the approval of funding for emergency repair works.
St. Mary’s NS in Castlefinn was granted funds for much-needed improvements, Minister for Education Joe McHugh announced on Thursday.
The school will be undergoing two work projects in the coming months.
Repairs will include a new fire alarm system along with emergency lighting/signage throughout the three school buildings. Upgrade work will also be carried out to the lower school building.
Management at the school said they were “over the moon” to receive news of the investment and thanked representatives Cllr Gary Doherty, Cllr Martin Harley and Minister Joe Mc Hugh for getting the projects over the line.
