Fifteen more people have sadly lost their lives as a result of Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
The number of hospital deaths in the region is now 469, according to the NI Department of Health.
However, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) reports 599 fatalities up to 8th May. NISRA statistics differ to the Department of Health as they record all deaths where coronavirus was recorded on a death certificate.
Nearly half of the 599 deaths in the NISRA bulletin took place outside hospital settings.
The Department of Health has also confirmed a further 26 new cases in Northern Ireland, bringing the total to 4,317.
Garden centres and recycling centres in Northern Ireland will reopen from Monday as part of the first phases of easing lockdown.
