RESIDENTS of the Errigal View housing estate in Letterkenny have been keeping fit outdoors during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Ciara McVeigh-Lunn has been conducing Zumba and Clubbercise classes on the big green for the residents every Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

The classes have been going since the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend and last weekend the residents got together, while staying apart, on the green to mark

The green area in the estate is massive, enabling the maintaining of physical distancing measures.

There have even been new connections made during recent weeks.

Ciara told Donegal Daily: “It’s amazing in these strange times how it can being people closer. There are two ladies living in the estate since the houses were built, nearly 21 years ago, and they didn’t know each other – but they do now!”
