No increase in Covid-19 cases in Donegal

No new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Donegal in the latest update from the HSE. 

The number of cases diagnosed in the county since the outbreak began stands at 475.

The figure is valid to midnight 16th May.

The recovery rate nationwide is 84.3%, as of Wednesday last.

The HSE has today confirmed that four more people have died in the Republic as a result of Covid-19, bringing the total to 1,547. 88 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 were also reported.

Meanwhile, operations data released by the HSE showed that there were 13 patients with Covid-19 receiving care at Letterkenny University Hospital, as of 8pm on Sunday night.

The number of patients in the hospital suspected of having Covid-19 was 23.

LUH again had the second highest number of suspected cases across Ireland’s acute hospitals. There were no patients with Covid-19 in critical care in Letterkenny, as of last night.
