A man was beaten up after he tried to stop three other young men from stealing his motorbike outside a service station.

The man had stopped off at The Lagg filling station on Milford around 3pm on Saturday afternoon last.

While in the garage he noticed that one of the men was trying to start up his motorbike.

The motorcyclist realised what was going on and tried to intervene.

However, he was assaulted by the men.

The man received both facial and head injuries as a result of the attack.

Gardai say they are viewing CCTV footage of the shocking incident.

However, they have appealed for anybody who may have seen the incident or the three men in the area to contact them at Milford Garda station.
