Watch: Popular Donegal nun shares ‘motivation moments’ while cocooning

Donegal-based nun Sr Helen Kelly has restarted her ‘Motivational Moments’ video series from home to share life advice during challenging times.

Sr Helen is an inspirational speaker and life coach who often delivers guest talks locally.

Earlier this year, plans were in place for Home Instead Senior Care Donegal to film their new 2020 series of their “Motivational Moments Donegal” videos with Sr. Helen Kelly, but suddenly the country was in lock down due to Covid 19.

Not to be outdone, Helen took on the task herself and has produced the next batch of Motivational Moments from her home office while cocooning in West Donegal.

Sr Helen’s days have been spent virtually travelling the globe on her exercise bike out on her decking and she says she has travelled hundreds of miles during her lockdown.

The Wild Atlantic Way, The Sunny South East, The Camino and all over Europe were explored virtually from her place of safety at home. Helen’s journeys reflected a lovely sentiment echoed by the many clients that Home Instead has throughout Donegal, cocooning in safety in their own home.

The motivation and positivity Sr Helen delivers in her new video series is much needed at this time in our lives. With so much uncertainty, Sr Helen says it’s time to move forward no matter how it has been during the last few months.

Her advice is to be in charge of our own lives and not let Covid make decisions for us.

We need to make sure that we have some positivity and mindfulness every day to help protect our own mental and physical wellbeing.

Due to the huge success and popularity of the first series of Motivational Moments Donegal in 2019, Home Instead Donegal have committed to bringing these weekly inspirational moments from Helen every week on their Facebook and social media channels for the foreseeable future.

Helen’s relaxed positive approach coupled with her joy and enthusiasm for life will provide a moment in our week for people to pause and reflect on the positive messages and how they can include them in their own lives.

The collection, one video clip a week, will be shared on Home Instead Senior Care Donegal social media platforms (Facebook/ You Tube/ LinkedIn and Twitter) every week until the Autumn and beyond.
