LUH treating five Covid-19 patients, two suspected cases in critical care

Two patients with suspected cases of Covid-19 have been admitted to ICU at Letterkenny University Hospital in the past day, HSE figures show.

The number of confirmed cases of the virus has decreased to five at Letterkenny University Hospital, as of 8pm last night.

There is a total of 19 patients with suspected cases of Covid-19 in the hospital. Letterkenny now has the fourth highest number of suspected cases across Ireland’s acute hospitals.

Last night’s records also show that there are 18 general care beds vacant at LUH and one critical care bed available.

Seven days previously, the number of confirmed Covid-19 patients at LUH was 12, while there were 18 suspected cases on 21st May.

Donegal has had 477 recorded cases of Covid-19 since the outbreak began.
