Nine more deaths, 59 new Covid-19 cases

ANOTHER nine deaths relating to Covid-19 have been recorded in Ireland.

The total number of deaths from the coronavirus is now 1,651.

Three previously-reported deaths have been denotified.

A further 59 positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by health officials.

There have now been a total 24,929 cases.

Figures earlier today from the HSE show that there are 42 people being treated across Ireland’s intensive care units for Covid-19 related illness.
