One more person with Covid-19 has died in Northern Ireland, the Department of Health has confirmed.
This brings the total number of hospital deaths in the region to 523.
Seven new cases of the virus were also confirmed today, bringing the total number of cases since the outbreak began to 4,716.
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency’s weekly bulletin reports that 716 deaths had occurred in Northern Ireland by 22 May. This figure covers all fatalities where coronavirus has been recorded on the death certificate, as opposed to the Department of Health statistics which mainly record deaths in hospital settings.
