The government is set to replace its 20km travel limit plans to allow people to travel anywhere within their county in Phase 2.

From Monday 8th June, it is understood that people will be able to travel anywhere inside their own county as they ‘stay local’.

The 20km limit will only apply to people travelling across county borders.

The change comes as the tourism and hospitality sector prepares to gradually re-open from 29th June.

More details on Phase 2 are expected to be formally announced following today’s Cabinet meeting.
