An additional nine people have died from Covid-19 in Ireland.
The latest updates for the virus show that there have now been a total of 1,678 coronavirus related deaths across the country.
There has also been a further 24 cases bringing the total to 25,183 confirmed cases.
Today’s data from the HPSC reveals that 57% of cases are female and 43% are male.
3,319 cases, 13%, have been hospitalised and of those, 410 cases have been admitted to ICU.
Some 8,059 cases are associated with healthcare workers.
This comes as Minister Simon Harris thanked the public “for their efforts” as the number of people battling Covid-19 in Irish hospitals has fallen again.
Mr Harris said the number of patients receiving treatment for the killer bug was down to just 123 as Ireland prepares to enter phase two of the lockdown roadmap on Monday.
He shared a graph showing hospital admissions which revealed they are at their lowest level since mid-March.
Mr Harris, who took to Twitter, said: “A very encouraging drop in the number of patients with Covid-19 in Irish hospitals this morning.
“Down to 123 now. Graphs like this are a reminder of why we are all making such efforts, keeping distance etc. It’s working. It’s saving lives & it’s keeping people well”
