No new Covid-19 cases in Donegal for three weeks

The number of Covid-19 cases in Donegal remains unchanged again today – marking three weeks since any increase in the county.

470 cases of the virus have been confirmed in the county since the outbreak began.

The last time figures increased in Donegal was on Tuesday 19th May and reported by the HPSC on Thursday 21st May. All county case totals are announced with a two-day delay.

The Department of Health today confirmed a further eight Covid-19 deaths nationwide, with eight new cases diagnosed.

There have been 1,703 Covid-19 related deaths and 25,238 cases in Ireland since the outbreak began – with a 92% recovery rate.

The number of hospital admissions continues to fall, with 75 Covid-19 patients recorded nationwide at 8pm on Wednesday. Four patients with confirmed cases of Covid-19 were receiving care at Letterkenny University Hospital at the time of the latest HSE report.
