Council issues weather warning as thundery showers forecast

Donegal County Council has issued a weather warning with heavy rain expected in many parts of the country.

The moderate advisory warning comes into place at 11am today (Sat) and will last until 8pm tomorrow (Sun) evening.

They have also warned there is a chance of spot flooding in areas.

Met Eireann said the warning is for the entire country but said Munster and south Leinster will be worst hit.

They advised “Prolonged thundery downpours this weekend, mainly in Munster and south Leinster on Saturday afternoon and evening. Becoming widespread on Sunday afternoon and evening, with a risk of spot flooding.”
