Breaking: Fire crews battle major blaze in Letterkenny

BREAKING: The emergency services are battling a major fire at a business premises in Letterkenny.

The blaze broke out a short time ago at Watson Hire in the Lisnennan area of the town.

Thick black smoke engulfed the Letterkenny skyline as the blaze erupted and is visible for miles.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and fire crews are battling the flames.

It is believed that extensive damage was also caused to a HSE storage unit adjacent to Watson Hire.


The road has been closed to access and there are traffic delays in the area.

It is not believed that there are any injuries.

It is not known how the fire started.
