A MANOR man who was in possession of MDMA was fined at the latest sitting of Letterkenny District Court.

Conor Kelly (21) of 49 Abbey Park, Manor, was before the court after being found with ‘a nominal amount’ of Methylenedioxymethamphetamine when he was searched at Letterkenny Garda Station on May 19, 2018.

A small plastic bag was found after traces of the substance showed on his person.

Solicitor for Kelly Mr Patsy Gallagher said his client was a college student who lived at home and had not previously or since come to the adverse attention of the Gardaí.

“He and his friends got slightly the worse for wear on the night,” Mr Gallagher said. “When he was sobered up, this was found during a search.”

Judge Paul Kelly instructed Kelly to make a €200 payment to Letterkenny Youth and Community Club by November 16 next.
