Donegal is could bask in its hottest day of the year so far today as temperatures rise to 25C.
Met Eireann forecasters say it will be a dry and warm day with sunny spells.
But any beach trips will have to be planned early due to a risk of thunderstorms this evening from 5pm.
Afternoon temperatures will rise to between 22 and 25C in northern counties, while other parts of Ireland will enjoy highs of 28C.
“The risk of thunderstorms continues through tonight. While many places will stay dry throughout, where thunderstorms do occur there’s a risk of spot flooding and hail,” warns Met Eireann.
The pollen count is ‘Very High’ today and Friday.
