Two men have been rescued in an emergency operation off Malin Head.
The alarm was raised this evening following reports of a man in difficulty in the water and another man in a small boat attempting to recover him.
It is understood that both men had entered the water for some time after the boat capsized.
The Greencastle Coast Guard and Rescue 118 Helicopter rushed to the scene, under the co-ordination of Malin Head Coast Guard.
Both men were safely recovered from the sea.
It is understood that one casualty has been airlifted to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, while the second person has been treated by paramedics at the scene.
