The number of confirmed cases in Donegal remains unchanged, according to the latest update from the HSE Health Protection Surveillance Centre.

The county figure stands at 466 cumulative cases since the outbreak began.

This number rose by one over the weekend.

There are also no confirmed Covid-19 patients in Letterkenny University Hospital (as of 8pm Wednesday).

Health officials last night reported zero new Covid-19 related deaths in the Republic.

Eleven new cases of the virus were confirmed nationwide.

The National Public Health Emergency Team will meet today to continue its review of Ireland’s response and preparedness to COVID-19.

Meanwhile, more than one million citizens have so far downloaded the HSE’s COVID Tracker App. The app aims to enhance existing contact tracing measures, by enabling users to identify close contacts and to alert those who are using the app of the need for COVID-19 testing as quickly as possible.
