Job Vacancies: Mac’s Deli in Letterkenny is now recruiting for two vacancies – Pastry Chef and Chef.

Both vacancies are day-time positions and are very attractive opportunities for experienced chefs.

Pastry Chef : Day-Time (Part-time/Full-time)

Mac’s Deli, established in 1996, is a busy deli/cafe, with a recently extended bakery, located in a busy area of Letterkenny.

Our business has continued to grow year on year with increased demand for fresh and affordable baked products.

A Pastry Chef/Baker is required for our busy deli/bakery. The role will involve baking speciality breads desserts and cakes in a busy fast-paced bakery and restaurant and include attractive early day-time hours, with flexibility required during periods of high demand.

Responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate must be innovative, creative, be a self-starter, and enjoy working as part of a team. Responsibilities include product sourcing, ordering, costing, pricing and developing new products. Good organisational and planning skills essential.

You should have a good working knowledge of HACCP and ensure the overall cleanliness and the health and safety aspects of the kitchen and products.

If you believe you have the ability, flair, imagination, and most of all passion, then we would be delighted to have you on our team.

Hours are day-time, but flexibility will be required during high demand seasons i.e First Communions/ Confirmations/ Christmas.

Chef : Day-Time (Part-time/Full-time)

This is a very attractive position for a talented Chef, who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced working environment and is seeking a Day-time position.

The role includes sourcing, cooking/baking and presentation of fresh food, speciality breads/desserts. and develop new products for our restaurant, bakery and takeaway.

Established in 1996, Mac’s Deli has consistently offered diners great food and value in a casual setting. Our restaurant is relaxed in style, but we are ambitious in our standards of food and service.

 

The successful candidate must:

– Great attention to detail and creativity

– Flexibility to work as required during high demand periods.

– Excellent organisational skills

– Highly motivated

– Must be able to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team
