Naomh Colmcille remove temporary suspension of club activity

NAOMH Colmcille have decided to lift the temporary suspension of their club activities.

On Friday night, Naomh Colmcille announced that they were making the decision to halt club activities ‘to prevent the potential spread of Covid-19’.

Last night, however, the Pairc Colmcille club removed the suspension.

The club said: “It was agreed at a club committee meeting this evening to open the club again tomorrow and resume business as usual.

“The situation will be kept under continued review going forward.

“If anyone is displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 please stay at home and follow HSE guidelines.”

Naomh Colmcille are back in action this evening when they face Letterkenny Gaels in the Ladies Minor League.

Naomh Colmcille made the decision having played a challenge match last weekend against Glack – one of 10 Derry club who have taken measures to call a halt following outbreaks of CoVid-19 in the area.

The Donegal County Board did not postpone a Regional League game for Naomh Colmcille, but the club did not fulfil Saturday evening’s match away to Gaeil Fhánada – a matter that is due to be adjudicated on by the Board following receipt of the referee’s report.
