TIERNAN McDonald scored the only goal of the game in the first half as Urris defeated Carndonagh.

Urris 1-10 Carndonagh 0-8

On a damp and miserable night Carndonagh were the visitors to Straid in the Division 2 Regional league game.

Urris got the opening score of this game and indeed were much the better side in the first half.

When Tiernan McDonald scored the only goal of the match the home side were ahead by 1-5 to 0-1.

The visitors scored three points near the end of the first half to leave it Urris 1-7 to Carn 0-4 at half time.

The home side got the first score of the second half. But  Carndonagh went through a good spell scoring the next four points without reply from Urris.

However, a couple of late points from Urris secured a victory by 1-10 to 0-8.

Urris Scorers: Tiernan McDonald 1-1, Oisin Hession 0-3, Conor Bradley (2f), Shane Doherty 0-2 each, Brian Doherty, Luke Doherty 0-1 each.

Carndonagh Scorers: Christy McDaid 0-5, Eoghan Kelly, Padraig Doherty, Darragh McCormick 0-1 each.
