Donegal is becoming a dream destination for Irish holidaymakers this year, and some well known faces are being spotted in local towns.

Irish actresses Aoibhinn McGinnity (Love/Hate) and Charlene McKenna (Peaky Blinders) decided to see that Donegal was all about this weekend.

The stars and their friends are enjoying a trip to South Donegal and all the highlights of the area.

They stopped by the famous Rusty Mackerel bar in Teelin, where they received a warm Donegal welcome from Martin Cunningham. According to Martin, the actresses had called in after hearing great things about the bar, and they had to see for themselves!

McGinnity and McKenna aren’t the only newcomers who are discovering Donegal for the first time this year.

Due to travel restrictions, many people from across the island are heading north west for a summer getaway and sharing superb scenes and experiences on social media.
