CIARA McGarvey hit five goals as Termon overpowered Buncrana at The Scarvey in the Donegal Ladies SFC on Sunday morning.

Termon won 8-11 to 0-3 against Buncrana.

The 17-year-old McGarvey stole the show with 5-2 as the defending champions made it two-from-two.

Geraldine McLaughlin, Nicole McLaughlin and Shannon McLaughlin also netted for the Burn Road outfit.

It was the younger Termon stars who caught the eye here – Chelsea Gorman, Maebh McDaid, Shannon McLaughlin and Orla Corry all put in a great  hour in the maroon and  white.

While Emer Gallagher had a great game at the rear, it was McGarvey who was on fire up top.

Glenfin were indebted to a winning point by Karen Guthrie as the An Gaeltacht Lár women overcame Moville. Pushed to extra time by Moville, Glenfin had to dig deep for a 3-17 to 2-19 win over the Inishowen side.

In the Intermediate Championship, St Naul’s scored four second-half goals to defeat Gaeil Fhánada 4-15 to 3-7 in Mountcharles. Although Aisling McDevitt (2-0) and Lauren Carr (1-2) struck gold for the visitors, St Naul’s hit a purple patch to claim the win.

A late Roisin Rodgers penalty, in the ninth minute of added time, gave Naomh Muire a 2-8 to 3-4 win over St Eunan’s at The Banks with Kate Gillespie also on the mark with a goal for the winners.

In the Junior A Championship, Aisleen Cunningham starred with 4-2 as Killybegs overcame Glenswilly. Susanne White (1-4) and Andrea Furey (1-1) were also to the fire with Penny Statham (0-2), Mairead McGuinness (0-1) and Erin Ban Gallagher (0-1) on the mark in a 6-11 to 1-10 win.

In the junior championship, Clara Bradley top-scored as Sean MacCumhaills defeated Kilcar, while Lauren Cregan, Amy McCarron, Tara Doherty and Zoe McCarron netted the goals as Urris proved much too strong for Naomh Padraig, Muff.
