Gardaí are investigating a violent attack on a man in Clonmany over the weekend.
The man was walking alone on Main Street Clonmany in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was viciously assaulted. He suffered a chipped tooth, scratches and bruises in the attack.
The victim was unable to get a clear view of who was behind the attack.
An investigation is underway. Gardaí have carried out door-to-door enquiries and are studying available CCTV footage from the area in an effort to find the suspect.
Gardaí have issued a public appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time (between midnight and 1.10am on 26th July) and who may have witnessed the assault. Gardaí are also appealing to taxi drivers or anyone with dashcam footage which may help with the investigation to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 0749320540
