Donegal is set to bask in some hot summer sunshine this weekend after a wet and disruptive few days.
Heavy rain caused localised floods on some roads in West Donegal yesterday. Further north, Met Eireann’s weather station at Malin Head recorded 32mm of rain in one day.
The rain is set to clear this Thursday and make way for good day of sunshine.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 24C tomorrow. Forecasters say the best of the sunshine will be in the early part of the day, with cloud building later.
Friday will see some rain in the north west but the clouds are due to clear by the evening.
The weekend outlook is looking good – with warm and sunny days forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will reach into the low 20s and there will be dry and bright conditions.
