We want to know what Donegal Daily readers think about the debate on face coverings in schools.
As schools prepare to reopen at the end of August, should children be required to wear masks in school?
Current guidelines from the Department of Education say students should not be required to wear face coverings or visors for the duration of the whole school day. Cloth face coverings are not suitable for children under the age of 13.
In post-primary settings, the guidelines say students can wear coverings if they choose or in circumstances where physical distancing is difficult to maintain within the school. Face coverings will be required on post-primary school buses.
As masks become mandatory in shops and shopping centres from August 10th, what do you think should happen in schools?
