Letters of offer to people for a number of houses just completed in Newtowncunningham have been released today.
The move has been welcomed by local county councillor Paul Canning.
Some letters of offer will be sent out today and others on Monday.
Councillor Canning said “I would like to congratulate those families and wish them well in their new home.
“Those of you that haven’t received a letter of offer and feel you should’ve, there will be another 9 released in Newtown before Christmas.”
“Also take note that letters of offer often go to people that are in rented accommodation under the HAP scheme.
“A number of these houses will now become available for new tenants. So folks keep an eye out and your ear to the ground.”
Well-known local builder PJ Mc Dermott and his team constructed the houses.
