Donegal is set to bask in warm weather next week as temperatures are forecast to rise up to 24 degrees.
The weekend has kicked off on a high, with Met Éireann saying that today will continue to be warm and dry with glorious spells of summer sunshine.
Temperatures will reach between 19 and 23 degrees today with light variable breezes, although it may be slightly cooler along the coast due to sea breezes.
A few patches of mist and fog are expected tonight, with temperatures dipping to 8 to 11 degrees.

We can expect more of the same tomorrow with highest temperatures of 19 to 23 degrees with light variable breezes, however a few showers may develop over the northern half of the province.
Nationally, Monday will reach highs of between 18 to 24 degrees but heavy or thundery showers will move in from the east and will affect much of Leinster and Ulster.
We can expect Tuesday morning to be mainly dry with sunny spells with highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees, and a degree or two cooler on some coasts with light variable or northerly breezes. Scattered showers will develop on Tuesday afternoon, some possibly heavy.
On Wednesday a good deal of dry weather is expected but there is a possibility of some heavy showers developing through the second half of the day. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees with light northerly breezes.
Thursday morning will be mainly dry, but some showers may develop during the afternoon and evening and continue into the night. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees with light northerly or variable breezes.
Met Éireann says that Friday and next weekend won’t be as nice, with showers becoming heavier and more widespread with temperatures in the high teens to low 20s – so make the most of the sunshine while you can!
